Snežnik

Snežnik (or Veliki Snežnik) is the highest peak in southern Slovenia. Notranjska bareheaded, rising above the land of bears, wolves and lynxes. The view from it stretches from the Kvarner Bay and the Slovenian sea all the way to the Alps and Ljubljana. Just below the top is the friendly Koča Draga Karolina. The starting point of the described route is a nice hamlet of holiday houses (Sviščaki), but you can also drive much higher if you follow the signpost for Snežnik. The described ascent route is very popular.
